Region Östergötland at Swiss Nordic Bio 2026
Region Östergötland participated in Swiss Nordic Bio 2026 in Zürich, one of the meeting places bringing together the Nordic and Swiss life science ecosystems. The conference provided an opportunity to promote Östergötland internationally, build new connections and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
Connecting Nordic and Swiss life science
Around 200 participants from the Nordic countries, Switzerland and Austria gathered at the Radisson Blu Hotel at Zurich Airport. The programme included more than 40 company presentations and over 400 partnering meetings, connecting biotech, medtech and pharmaceutical companies with investors and other key actors in the life science sector.
For Region Östergötland, participation was part of the region's efforts to strengthen its international networks and position Östergötland as an attractive environment for innovation, collaboration and business development within life science.
Showcasing innovation from Östergötland
Life science is a strategically important industry for Östergötland, building on strong environments in healthcare, research, innovation and technology. Three companies from the region participated in Swiss Nordic Bio, providing an opportunity to showcase some of the innovation and expertise emerging from Östergötland to an international audience.
The conference also created a valuable setting for Region Östergötland to better understand the needs and priorities of international life science companies and innovation actors.
New connections and opportunities
During the day, Region Östergötland met with representatives from organisations and companies including Novartis, Roche, Innosuisse and Invest in Austria. The discussions provided new perspectives on international collaboration, investment and the continued development of competitive life science ecosystems.
Participation in Swiss Nordic Bio contributed to strengthening existing relationships while creating new connections that can support Östergötland's long-term ambition to develop its life science ecosystem and increase its international visibility.
